ETS Joins The EMV Migration Forum

Electronic Trade Solutions ( is proud to announce that it is now a member of the EMV Migration Forum. This membership reflects ETS' key role in supporting the migration to EMV chip technology in the United States for more secure and innovative payments.

The EMV Migration Forum is a cross-industry body focused on supporting the EMV implementation steps required for global and regional payment networks, issuers, processors, merchants, and consumers to help ensure a successful introduction of more secure EMV chip technology in the United States. The focus of the Forum is to address topics that require some level of industry cooperation and/or coordination to migrate successfully to EMV technology in the United States.

The EMV Migration Forum membership and Steering Committee establish the priority discussion points and plans for addressing and communicating the key topics and conclusions to the industry. The following activities – many of which require some level of industry cooperation and/or coordination for a successful migration to EMV chip technology in the United States – comprise the majority of Forum work:
•Providing guidance on technical issues, consumer awareness and other non-proprietary issues relating to industry-wide adoption of EMV chip technology
•Developing non-proprietary best practices and training materials necessary for successful adoption of EMV chip-enabled cards, devices, and terminals within the United States
•Discussing the coordination of process-related elements of the payments infrastructure necessary to introduce an EMV chip-enabled payment system
•Discussing and engaging in projects to facilitate consumer adoption and allow for a more consistent consumer experience
